o known as T.I. was
Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., als on born September 25, 1980 in Atlanta GA. T.I. has four kid’s three boys and one girl. Their names are Messiah Ya Majesty Harris, Domani Uriah Harris, Dejan Iman Harris, and King C'Andre Harris. He’s not only known for his rapping career but he’s also an actor, songwriter and he has gotten into some trouble over the years. I think T.I. is the sexiest rapper there is. I also love T.I. music and his acting.
In 2006 T.I. starred in his first film, ATL where he played the role as Rashad, a 17-year-old senior in high school getting ready to graduate who runs into some family and relationship problems. When ATL came out my friends and I went to go see it at the movies. Of all of the movies T.I. has been in, this was my favorite. It really caught my attention. In 2007 T.I. played as Stevie Lucas in American Gangster. He didn’t have a big roll in this movie as he did in his first one, but it was a good movie also. In 2010 T.I. is going to be in another movie called Bone Deep. There’s not much about the movie yet but I read on imdb.com that it’s going to be about a group of bank robbers “finding their $20 million dollar plan interrupted by a hard-boiled detective.”
On October 9, 2001 T.I. released his first album I’m Serious with Arista Records. The album did not sell very well, and he was dropped from the label. After T.I. was dropped from that label he decided to create a video on YouTube. He also released several mix tapes with the help of DJ Drama. In 2003 T.I. released his second album Trap Muzik with a new record company called Grand Hustle Records. The album came in at number four, and sold 109,000 copies in its first week. While on tour, T.I. was charged with violating his probation for a 2003 drug charge, and was sentenced to three years in prison. While he was in prison, he was granted rights to film one of his music videos for his song Let's Get Away. It sold over 1 million copies in the U.S. and was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
In 2004 T.I. released his third album Urban Legend with Grand Hustle Records. In 2006, T.I. received two Grammy Award nominations for Best Song Collaboration. He also got a Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance for his song “U Don't Know Me” at the 48th Gammy Awards. In 2006 T.I. released his fourth album, King. Who came in at number one on the Billboard 200 chart in the first half of 2006. He sold over 522,000 copies in its first week. Some of the songs off the CD also were the music in his Movie, ATL. His song “What You Know” won a Best Rap Solo Performance and was nominated for Best Rap Song at the 49th Grammy Awards.
On July 3, 2007 T.I. released his fifth album T.I. vs. T.I.P.. This CD sold 468,000 copies in the United States and became number one on the Billboard 200. This was one of T.I.’s first albums without producer DJ Toomp On September 30, 2008, T.I. released his sixth album Paper Trail. This record came in at number one on the Billboard 200. T.I. sold 568,000 copies in the United States. One of his songs called “Live Your Life” featuring Rihanna jumped from #80 to the #1 spot. T.I. broke his own record on the Billboard Hot 100.
In 1998 T.I. was on probation for violating a state controlled and for giving false information. He violated his probation in several counties around Georgia for offenses ranging from possession of a firearm and marijuana. In 2006 T.I. threatened a man outside a strip club. T.I. also was arrested on an outstanding probation violation warrant from Florida. In 2003 he was accused for assaulting a female sheriff deputy at University Mall in Tampa, Florida. Shortly after he was arrested he was released on bail.
In 2007 T.I. was arrested again and was charged with two felonies for possession of three unregistered machine guns and two silencers, and possession of firearms by a convicted felon. On October 26, 2007 he went to court and the judge posted a $3 million dollar bond, $2 million in cash and $1 million in equity on property he owns. The only people that could live with him were his girlfriend and his kids. Any one other then his girlfriend or kids had to be approved by the court. After awhile T.I. pleaded guilty to US federal weapons charges and served a year in jail. In the end T.I. had a lot of hard times in his life but to me he’s still the best rapper alive.
